As a results-oriented professional with a customer service approach, Jim cares about getting the job done right. He began his career with Irving Oil in New Brunswick, where he was assigned increasingly greater responsibilities and challenges within accounting, eventually becoming Corporate Accountant and Assistant Comptroller. In 1999, armed with his CGA designation, Jim ventured west to the Ontario telecommunications frontier where he became the Director of Accounting for C1 Communication Inc, an entrepreneurial venture which failed but led to his first contact with Schonfeld Inc. After moving to Toronto Hydro Energy Services as Director of Accounting, Jim decided to join the Schonfeld Inc. team in 2002. Now Jim uses his accounting knowledge to address bankruptcy, receiverships, Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) proceedings, and proposals in a wide variety of industries ranging from retail and transportation to entertainment and industrial contract services.
